—Dissolve 500 mg of sulfanilic acid in 150 mL of acetic acid. Dissolve 100 mg of 1-naphthylamine hydrochloride in 150 mL of acetic acid, and mix the two solutions. The pink color that may develop on standing can be removed by treatment with zinc.
