Phosphoro fluoridic acid, disodium salt;
Disodium phosphoro fluoridate CAS RN®: 10163-15-2; UNII: C810JCZ56Q.
1 DEFINITION
Sodium Mono Fluorophosphate contains NLT 91.7% and NMT 100.5% of sodium mono
Fluorophosphate (Na2PFO3 ), calculated on the dried basis.
2 IDENTIFICATION
A. The retention time of the mono Fluorophosphate peak of the Sample solution corresponds to that of the Standard solution, as obtained in the Assay.

|---|---|---|
| 0 | 15 | 85 |
| 20 | 15 | 85 |
| 30 | 30 | 70 |
| 35 | 60 | 40 |
| 45 | 60 | 40 |
| 45.1 | 15 | 85 |
| 50 | 15 | 85 |
Alternatively, Mobile phase can be generated electrolytically using an automatic eluent generator.
System suitability solution: 4.0 μg/mL of USP Sodium Fluoride RS, 1.4 μg/mL of USP Sodium Acetate RS, 150 μg/mL of USP Sodium

3.3 System suitability
Samples: System suitability solution and Standard solution
[Note—The relative retention times for fluoride, acetate, mono Fluorophosphate, and sulfate ions are 0.16, 0.18, 1.0, and 1.1, respectively.]
3.4 Suitability requirements
Resolution: NLT 1.5 between the mono
Fluorophosphate and sulfate ions, System suitability solution
Tailing factor: NMT 2.5 for the mono
Fluorophosphate ion, Standard solution
Relative standard deviation: NMT 2.0% for the mono
Fluorophosphate ion, Standard solution
3.5 Analysis
Samples: Standard solution and Sample solution
Calculate the percentage of sodium mono
Fluorophosphate (Na2PFO3) in the portion of Sodium Mono
Fluorophosphate taken:
Result = (rU/rS ) × (CS /CU) × 100
rU = peak response of mono Fluorophosphate from the Sample solution
rS = peak response of mono Fluorophosphate from the Standard solution
CS = concentration of USP Sodium MonoFluorophosphate RS in the Standard solution (μg/mL)
CU = concentration of Sodium Mono Fluorophosphate in the Sample solution (μg/mL)
Acceptance criteria: 91.7%–100.5% on the dried basis
