Dissolve 3.75 g of aminoacetic acid in about 500 mL of water, add 2.1 g of sodium hydroxide, and dilute with water to 1000 mL. Mix 9 mL of the resulting solution with 1 mL of dilute glacial acetic acid (1 in 300). This test solution has a pH between 10.4 and 10.5.
