Dissolve 12.5 g of tartaric acid in 25 mL of water, then add (USP 1-May-2022) 1.06 g of Bismuth subnitrate, and shake for 1 h (Suspension (USP 1-May-2022) A). Dissolve 20 g of potassium iodide in 25 mL of water (Solution B). Dissolve 100 g of tartaric acid in 450 mL of water (Solution C). Add Suspension (USP 1-May-2022) A and Solution (USP 1-May-2022) B to Solution C, and shake for 1 h. Allow to stand for 24 h and filter. (USP 1-May-2022)
