Dissolve 0.75 g of potassium iodide in 100 mL of water. Heat to boiling, and add, with stirring, a solution of 0.5 g of soluble starch in 35 mL of water. Boil for 2 minutes, and allow to cool.
Sensitivity: Mix 15 mL in 0.05 mL of glacial acetic acid and 0.3 mL of diluted iodine TS: a blue color is produced.
