-The sodium salt of 2-[[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]azo]benzoic acid. 2-[4-(CH3)2NC6H4N:N]C6H4COONa-291.28-Orange-brown powder. Freely soluble in cold water and in alcohol. Transition interval: from pH 4.2 to 6.2. Color change: from red to yellow.
