Assay: Not less than 98% of C6H15N is found, a suitable gas chromatograph equipped with a flame-ionization detector being used. The following conditions have been found suitable: a 3.2-mm x 1.83-m stainless steel column is packed with a cross-linked polystyrene support; the injection port temperature is maintained at 250° and the detector temperature at 310°; the column temperature is programmed to rise at 10° per minute from 50° to 220°.
REFRACTIVE INDEX (831): between 1.3915 and 1.3935, at 20°.
