Residue on Ignition (Reagent test): not more than 2 mg from 2 g (0.1%).
Absorbance: A 1 in 200,000 solution in methanol exhibits absorbance maxima at about 223 nm, 265 nm, and 312 nm. Its absorptivity (see Ultraviolet-Visible Spectroscopy 〈857〉) at 265 nm is about 64.0.
