Assay: Prepare a mixture of 1% trifluoroacetic acid in water and 1% trifluoroacetic acid in acetonitrile (55:45) for the mobile phase. Inject about 20 µL into a suitable liquid chromatograph (see Chromatography (621)) equipped with a 230-nm detector and a 4.6-mm x 15-cm column that contains packing L1. The flow rate is about 1.5 mL per minute. The area of the C14H10O3 peak is not less than 98.5% of the total peak area.
