Assay: The area of the 2-chloroethylamine monohydrochloride (C2H6CIN · HCI) peak is NLT 99% of the total peak area.
Inject an appropriate specimen into a gas chromatograph (see Chromatography (621)). The following conditions have been found suitable.
Detector: Flame ionization
Column: 0.25-mm x 30-m capillary; phase G46
Temperatures
Injection port: 150°
Column: 50°, programmed to rise 10°/min to 200°
Detector: 300°
Carrier gas: Helium
