Transfer 12.259 g of potassium dichromate primary standard, previously dried according to the label instructions or, if this information is not available, dried at 103" for 2 h, to a 1000-ml volumetric flask. Dissolve in and dilute with water to volume. Transfer 100.0 ml of this solution to a 1000-ml volumetric flask and dilute with water to volume.
